To the Ace Hoops days of yesteryear!

Participate in the Madness that is March basketball by jumping into Ace in the City’s Buckets for Belonging Team Fundraiser! Perfect for coaches and their teams, competitive family units or a reunion of the old squad, we are thrilled to partner with Midwest Basketball Training who has generously donated their space and all the equipment we need!

This 24-hour shoot-a-thon over March 26th and 27th will put your shooting stroke (and your endurance) to the test! With prizes included over various categories, your specific one-hour time slot will be jam-packed with one thing and one thing only: shooting jumpers! (Don’t worry, rebounding machines are provided–you just need to get your Steph Curry on.)

Here’s all you need to know:

Dates: Friday & Saturday, March 26th & 27th (24 hours straight! Fun begins at 4:00 pm on the 26th!)

Times: One-Hour Time Slot (reserved on a first-come, first-serve, basis. So register quickly, unless you want that 3:00 am slot!)

Location: Midwest Basketball Training, 8862 Zealand Ave N, Minneapolis, MN, 55445

Parking: Suite C (look for flag pole). Park all the way down when you enter parking lot

Cost & Registration: It is our goal that every team works to raise $1,000 as a collective group. How you do that is totally up to you–have fun, be creative, be intentional. (For a team of 10, this equates into just $100 each person.) As a way to give you an assist (pun most definitely intended), we will be utilizing Charity GoFundMe as our platform for teams and players to utilize as they look to raise their team goal. Time slots are selected on a first-come, first-serve, basis so register today. Team entry fee is $100 and upon registration, an Ace in the City representative will be in touch with you to give you more details.

Team Captains: As a Team Captain, your primary jobs are two-fold: (1) recruit your team and (2) champion and cheerlead the cause in your pursuit of your team fundraising goal.

COVID-19: Team and player safety is our top priority. We will be adhering to all local and CDC mandates over the duration of our event. More guidelines will be provided to you upon registration.

Team Sizes: Our court space includes 3 hoops in close proximity to each other, each with their own rebounding machine. Consequently, we will dividing your team into 3 groups (1 group per hoop). While it is our opinion the that the ideal team size consists of 9-12 players, your team must have a minimum of six (6) players, with a maximum of fifteen (15).  Shooting for 50 minutes straight will make you tired, friends, no matter your perceived levels of staminaJ so the bigger your team size, the more of a break you will get.

Impact Statement: Our goal is to raise $25,000 which allows Ace in the City to fully furnish our Flourish Food Market and double our capacity, increasing our ability to provide access to the healthiest of foods to over 4,000 families and individuals in 2021.
