After one month…still going strong!

When starting something new, you never quite know what to expect. And this was the exact feeling I had as we got the ACE After School program up and running at Powderhorn Park this fall. There were so many questions…will kids show up? Will they like it? Will they ever want to come back?

With all of these questions, it was one of those things where we just have to let go and let God show up. And let’s just say, HE HAS! After our first month, He has shown up in a mighty and evident way…

With over 35 kids, it has been a month of building relationships, having great conversations, making lots of art projects, working on homework together, playing games and of course having a blast! We have been blessed with incredible families who allow us to spend time with their kids each week and a community open and excited about our programming at the park.

So to say the least, it has been a GREAT first month…and thanks to God’s leading and AWESOME volunteers we are still going strong!
